One of the characteristic differences in this site’s emphasis has to do with recognizing that human beings have created a life of ease and comfort in religious organizations. The biblical pattern that really defines the people of God and true discipleship requires a level of commitment that sacrifices much time and energy in serving others. This level of love always includes risks of loss, disappointment, and inconvenience. Any time we open our hearts, our homes, and our wallets, we also expose ourselves to hurt and pain. Yet, this is the way of the cross that begins with self-denial and service.
The year 2025 is as good a start for this shift in life as any other. My prayer for you is that you learn of the Savior’s heart, follow His lead and look for ways to serve. God bless you all!
