Recognizing these things will give us the greatest aid in interpretation.   Christ came to fulfill.  The “end”  or purpose of the law, the gift of the Holy Spirit and the gifted men that Christ gave his people were all intended to serve a purpose in this transition period.  When accomplished, it ceased.  If choosing to force some of tbese elements of that period on us, we are simply acknowledging that (1) Christ did not complete what he came to do (2) that he left and never returned in that generation, making Him a liar (3) that the Holy Spirit has had to continue his work, which by comparison to the first-century power, calls into question the evidence of such power.

The biblical view of the last days does not refer to the end of the world but to the end of that then present age.  It was symbolized by the temple in Jerusalem which ended at the “parousia” of Christ.   HE HAS ALREADY COME!  This coming has released the Spirit’s presence to return and God is already been made “all in all.”   The kingdom is HERE, NOW as Christ is reigning in His people, the ekklesia (called-out class of people).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][kleo_button title=”Launch Project” style=”see-through” size=”lg”][/vc_column][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row inner_container=”no” type=”color” bg_color=”#000000″ padding_top=”0″ padding_bottom=”0″][vc_column][vc_images_carousel images=”741,740,739,737,736,734,733,735,728,731″ img_size=”300×140″ hide_pagination_control=”yes” min_items=”2″ max_items=”8″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row section_type=”footer” padding_top=”40px” border=”bottom”][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
